charity is charity and justice is justice. once again, 10% of book sales is providing Mr. Warren more than a comfortable life.

as for his bigoted views, they have been made known in the original post. if you couldn't see them then, nothing I say will make you see them now...

Rick Warren gives 90% and keeps 10%. Mrs. Warren does extensive benevolance work in Africa.

I am not aware of Mr. Warren's biggotted views. Perhaps you could expand on that.

Firstly noted, I am not a fan of Mr. Obama

Secondly, I arrived to the conclusion of Warren's bigotry through his own bigoted views. Next easy question!

Furthermore this framework of charity that you introduce to your arguments is not that of Prophetic Christianity (to once again borrow from the lexicon of Dr. West)

Lastly, I leave you with this sentiment
"Charity is no substitute for justice withheld."
-- Saint Augustine

Mr. Warren can give all he wants to charity (10% of book sales is not impressive if you ask me) He has largely not been a force for justice.

I'm just curious how you arrived at your decision that Rick Warren is a bigot. Is it simply because he is white? Is it because he only keeps ten percent of the money from his books and doesn't give as much to "black causes" that you think he should?

How much money has President elect Obama given to charity? Wasn't it less than two percent?

Would you then say that Rick Warren was more like Obama if he only gave less than two percent of his earnings to charity? Or perhaps a number of organizaations could be better served if Obama followed Rick Warren's example of benevolance?

At some point you are going to have to say that it really isn't the white man messing things up.
