
Too often subjected to prejudicial stereotypes, Arab-Americans have made concrete historical contributions to the United States–even if history textbooks fail to tell the tale. “Patriots & Peacemakers: Arab-Americans in Service to Our Country” is a traveling exhibition curated by the Arab American National Museum in Dearborn, Michigan and will be setting up shop starting Saturday at the Student Center of the University of California, Irvine. It focuses on well-researched stories of those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, diplomatic posts and the Peace Corps.
