As international activists go on hunger strike outside the Egyptian border, a vigil in solidarity with their efforts and with the people of Gaza will take place in Anaheim tomorrow. In conjunction with the Gaza Freedom March still hoping to take place in the Palestinian territory on New Year’s Eve, local activists from around Southern California will gather outside of the World Disney Store in Downtown Disney. The outside shopping center is always heavily populated with constant streams of people walking in every direction so the effort to raise awareness on the siege of Gaza as well as marking the one year anniversary of Israel’s assault of it will be seen by many. It might even make for a good opportunity to denounce local congresswoman Loretta Sanchez for stupidly condemning the Goldstone Report in a house vote last month!
